Caracas.- The People's Minister of Petroleum, Pedro Rafael Tellechea, on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro, participated this Friday in the 49th Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), during which the current conditions of the international energy scenario were reviewed.
In this regard, Minister Tellechea wrote, through his account @TellecheaRuiz on Twitter that "today we participated in the 49th Meeting of the OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, to continue strengthening the measures adopted within the Declaration of Cooperation in favor of a balanced world oil market".
During this meeting, the ministers examined the crude oil production data for the months of May and June 2023, as well as the general compliance of OPEC and non-OPEC countries with the Declaration of Cooperation. Likewise, all participating countries were urged to achieve full compliance and adhere to the compensation mechanism.
The efforts made by the nations that make up this multilateral energy alliance to continue guaranteeing the stability of the oil market were also acknowledged. It is worth mentioning that the next JMMC meeting was agreed for October 4, 2023.
