Caracas - The People’s Minister of Petroleum, Pedro Rafael Tellechea, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held a working meeting with the Executive Secretary of the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), Andrés Rebolledo, to analyze joint cooperation strategies towards energy integration; in addition to guaranteeing access to safe and sustainable energy for all the peoples of the region.
Minister Tellechea indicated that it is not only about energy for Venezuela, but for all the countries that present limitations in this matter. "Today we are making great efforts to recover the productive capacity and in the coming days great victories that our Homeland is achieving will be evident".
For his part, the Executive Secretary of OLADE said that this year they are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the organization by holding this important meeting in the country. "We are very pleased to have this opportunity to share with you, to continue moving forward together, perfecting our bilateral cooperation to work collectively in favor of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean".
Meanwhile, the Vice Minister of Hydrocarbons, Erick Pérez, highlighted the need to consolidate efforts in research and the development of plans to promote decarbonization, also emphasizing that "our development models must aim to achieve the greatest amount of happiness in the population".
Venezuela currently holds the pro tempore presidency of this international governmental organization that brings together 27 nations to promote the principles of integration and energy complementarity, as the main axes of joint development of the policy led by the head of state, Nicolás Maduro Moros.
