Signing of agreements will promote the development of joint ventures in the coming hours

Caracas.- On Tuesday, 29 November, Mr. Tareck El Aissami, Vice President of the Economy and Minister of Oil, held an important working meeting with the President of Chevron Corporation, Mr. Javier La Rosa, where it was established that in the next few hours the signing of contracts will be extended regarding the start of operations with the oil company.

This was announced by Mr. El Aissami through his account on the social network Twitter @TareckPsuv where he said: "In the coming hours, we will sign contracts to promote the development of joint ventures and oil production; as we have always done, in the terms established in the Constitution and other Venezuelan laws. NOW TO PRODUCE!!!".

He also pointed out that this transnational corporation will complete 100 years of operations in the national territory next 2023, which confirms Venezuela’s commitment to the development of national production.

Last November 26, after the signing of the second partial agreement at the dialogue tables between the National Government and sectors of the Venezuelan opposition, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the United States Department of the Treasury, authorized the company Chevron Corporation to resume operations in the country, where the Venezuelan General License (GL) 41 was issued, which authorizes the resumption of limited natural resource extraction operations in Venezuela.
