Caracas.- On June 24th, 1821, thanks to the Victory reached in Carabobo field, Simón Bolívar, The Liberator, consolidates the project regarding the creation of nations independent from the Spanish rule, started in year 1819 with the Battle of Boyacá.

After Carabobo, The Liberator started the Campaign of the South to build the Republics of Ecuador and Perú, with the respective victories attained in Pichincha (1822) and Ayacucho (1824), ending with the Bolivia’s Declaration of Independence in year 1825.

In this perspective, the Carabobo exploit represents the geopolitical epicentre to build a continental platform which succeeded in concreting and defending The Liberator’s most precious dream: The building of a large, independent and sovereign nations League.

The Bolivarian Revolution, headed by the Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez, started the celebration of the Bicentenary Cycle upon the Declaration of Independence in year 1810. Now, it is President Nicolás Maduro’s turn to hoist the triumphant flame of Carabobo’s bicentenary date.
