President Maduro: Production and fuel benefit guaranteed though the blockade

Caracas.- During his annual message to the nation, Mr. Nicolás Maduro, president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, said before the new National Assembly elected last December 6 that, although tough conditions, the oil industry has bore fruits thanks to the commitment of its workers.

 
The head of state explained that, thanks to the effort made by the alliances which allowed supplying the oil industry with necessary parts, “we moved from producing 1 million barrels from January 1st to May 31st, to over 11 million of barrels from June 1st to December 31st”, he said.

Likewise, Mr. Maduro stated that the industry is ready to increase production by 1.5 million barrels in the months to come. “This goal will be achieved thanks to productive policies and alliances which have emerged from the Anti-Blockade Law and the effort made by Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A (PDVSA)”, he expressed.

 
Refineries under atttack

Mr. Nicolás Maduro, leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, assured that, as part of the various sabotages against the Industry, Mr. Donald Trump, president of the United States of America, ordered the sabotage of Amuay and Cardón refineries.

“Dozens of Venezuelan and Colombian mercenaries have been apprehended while they were conspiring against the oil, gas and electric industries; but thanks to the social and popular smartness, along with the working class and police and military forces, we could stop them”, said Mr. Maduro.

Moreover, president Maduro made a reflection and emphasized that the National Government was right by fostering the Anti-Blockade Law, because it is the answer by the state to face and overcome blockade, as it represents a first-level institutional instrument to be developed by this renewed National Assembly just installed,

To finish his speech, he strongly affirmed “that I commit my word before the country saying that in year 2021, a historic year which closes the cycle of the Bicentenary Area,    we will start a national productive counteroffensive in all sectors of the national economy.”
