Venezuela is present in the 23rd OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee

Caracas.- Mr. Tareck El Aissami, Sectorial Vice-President to the Economic Area and People’s Power Minister of Oil, took part in the 23rd OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee held today in Vienna, Austria, via videoconference. 

During this meeting, OPEC and Non-OPEC countries evaluate actions to continue consolidating world oil market upon the basis of union and cooperation among peoples.

The meeting was headed by The Meeting was headed by the president of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMCC) and minister of Energy, Industries and Minerals Resources of Saudi Arabia, SAR Prince Abduil Aziz Bin Salman Al Saud, and the co-president of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) and Minister of Energy from the Russian Federation, SE Alexander V. Novak.

The meeting also counted on the participation of SE Mohammad Barking, OPEC’s Secretary General and SE Abdelmadjid Attar, president of OPEC’s Ministerial Conference and Minister of Energy of the Algerian Democratic 

The Heads of the Delegation composing the Committee formed by OPEC countries also took part of the 23rd Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee: Saudi Arabia, Algeria, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Nigeria and Venezuela. 

Among Non-OPEC countries there were Kazakhstan and Russia, and Gabon as guest country.

“OPEC+ mechanism has proved to be effective and resilient in the framework of this big crisis originated by Covid-19, with excellent results of a 102% fulfillment achievement.
