PDVSA & Chevron set time record in well drilling

Maracaibo.- PDVSA Petroboscán, a Joint Venture of the Corporación Venezolana del Petróleo (CVP) (Venezuelan Petroleum Corporation) with Chevron’s shareholding, set a new record in time of 10.35 days (10 days and 8 and a half hours, for well drilling in Campo Boscán wells, located in La Cañada de Urdaneta en el Estado Zulia.

Petroboscan Welling Management, through Drill F-29, set a record time of 10.35 days in Well BN-1065 in Central Northern Boscán Area, so optimizing the best time up to this date of 10.50 days referred to Well BN-1063.

The operation includes water flow by mud scattered in the medium stage without stopping drilling. A multi-disciplinary and specialized team of engineers, drilling operators and Venezuelan workers is in charge of adjusting parameters through the use of state-of-the-art technology, gathering in just one piece all operational practices and recommendations.

The oil industry reaches this achievement along with his Partner B, Chevron, who together composes Petroboscán, a joint venture that keeps on working with revolutionary efficiency, with the view to honor the commitment of hydrocarbon production for Venezuela’s well-being.
