President Maduro: Venezuela & China strengthen economic and financial relation system

Caracas.- During an interview conducted by  Venezolana de Televisión national channel (VTV), Mr. Nicolás Maduro, president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, made a balance of the successful work sessions which took place in People’s Republic of China, emphasizing that, thanks to this State official visit, both nations mutually strengthened their economic and financial system.

In this sense, the Head of State assured that this cooperation has leveraged financing for the development of the country “both in good times with high crude oil prices, as well as in bad times, with low crude oil prices. China has been a very important support for Venezuelan economy”, said he.

Likewise, Mr. Maduro stated that Economy, Growth and Prosperity program of the country was submitted, which counts on China’s higher authorities support, as well as on banking institutions and International Cooperation,

“There is much sympathy and an encouraging point of view towards this Program, as well as the new exchange system, national internal hydrocarbon policy rectification and the 16-engines Comprehensive Productive Pan”, assured the President of the Republic.

Likewise, the Venezuelan Head of State pointed out that there is a financing commitment to boost oil and auriferous production, and investments in more than 500 development projects within Venezuela.

In the financial fields, he highlighted the display of El Petro, the Venezuelan oil digital currency, with the view to create work teams with the participation of all Chinese financial institutions “to study the potential to be opened by this new digital currency”.

Reactivation and Re-Launching of Bilateral Relationships

President Nicolás Maduro assured that the High-Level State visit reactivated and re-launched China-Venezuela relationships in this key moment to implement the Economy, Growth and Prosperity Recovery Program. He said that “this visit strongly leverages the growing of the 16 engines and provides   great stability to oil production and financial process that we have set up during recent years with the Asian giant”.

 In this sense, the Head of State said that those actions, projects and Agreements have been possible thanks to the path traced by Commander Hugo Chávez.
Maduro said that today “we walk the path traced by Chávez. He is very close to all we have done in terms of oil, financial, industrial and agricultural development, cultural integration, the vision of humankind as a common destiny”.

Finally, Mr. Maduro called investors and public and private companies to participate in Shanghai’s World Trade Fair, from November 5th to 10th, with the view to trade products, goods and services made in Venezuela.
