Venezuela and Turkey strengthen development in gold, coke and oil supply fields

Caracas.- During his visit to Ankara city, Turkey, on the occasion of  the swearing in of re-elected president, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Mr. Nicolás Maduro, president of the  Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, emphasized on a meeting with his Turkish colleague, oriented towards the strengthening of bilateral relations with the Eurasian Nation in various fields of cooperation.

The head of state of Venezuela defined the development of business relationships and agreements with Turkey as accelerated, as well as in gold, coke and oil supply fields. Referring to oil supply, the president said that “a new agreement thereon shall be signed pretty soon.”

Mr. Maduro stated that “the business relationship begins to be a model adapted to Venezuelan needs, a win-win relationship, for mutual benefit. Moreover, Turkey, as an emerging power of the Eurasian region, has a large technology, industrial and productive capability. Turkish businessmen are willing to work and invest in Venezuela.”

President Maduro also referred to the linkage with a Turkish businessmen network, ready to invest in agricultural production, gold and tourism, among others. “This new presidential period of president Erdogan shall deepen our mutual relationships which shall reach higher levels.”

Mr. Maduro took this opportunity to share with ministers and presidents of various countries during his stay in Ankara.

In this sense, Mr. Maduro said: “I held a very important meeting with Mr. Dmitri Medvédev, Russia’s prime minister. We looked through the development of the High-Level Joint Commission, as well as important subjects on energy, financial and military cooperation. The Russian commission shall soon come to Venezuela.” In this context, President Maduro announced the appointment of the Vice President for the Economic Area, Mr. Tareck El Aissami, as chief of the CMAN for Venezuela.

Likewise, Mr. Maduro stated that he had the chance to talk with Mr. Tamim ben Hamad, Emir of Qatar, to renew some issues on cooperation and review the permanent conversation map within the diplomatic and political framework.

President Maduro expressed his will to further consolidate mutual working relationships in this multi-polar world. He said that “Venezuela is now being articulated to this emerging world, which wishes development, peace, prosperity and mutual benefits, a new world where there is respect for each other and  where all be treated equally.”
