Caracas.- Manuel Quevedo, People’s Minister of Petroleum and President of Pétroleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), and officers from Trinidad & Tobago government met in order to review gas joint projects.
The delegation from the neighbor country was composed by Stuart Young, Minister of Procurator’s General Office and Legal Matters; Selwyn Lashey, Minister of Energy and Energy Industries; Mark Loquan, President Gas National Company and Paul Byam, Trinidad & Tobago Ambassador in Venezuela.
Mr. Douglas Sosa, Vice Minister of Gas and Mr. Nemrod Contreras, Vice President of Gas, among other authorities, took part of the meeting.
The objective of the meeting was to join effort from both nations with the view to guarantee natural gas supply to Trinidad & Tobago domestic market, as well as the plans for gas trading in foreign markets.
It is noteworthy that both nations keep deep cooperation, solidarity and mutual respect ties, emphasizing the energy agreements in terms of gaseous hydrocarbons for mutual benefit. These relations are framed within the Peace Diplomacy policy, boosted by Nicolás Maduro, President of the Republic of Venezuela.
