They also toured the Domestic Market Gas Conditioning Plant (PAGMI), and noticed the advances at this important infrastructure for offshore gas fields located in the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Industrial Complex (CIGMA). Later, they visited the Juan Manuel Valdez Thermoelectrical Power Plant which will contribute 350 megawatts to the national electrical grid.

Prior to this visit, the Joint Coordination Commission formed by PDVSA, NGC and Shell was installed in Port of Spain, capital of Trinidad and Tobago, to follow up on gas exports negotiations to the Caribbean nation and discuss the construction, operation and maintenance of a pipeline from Dragon field to the Hibiscus field in Trinidad and Tobago.
