The Domestic and Commercial Gas service in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is being mostly covered by PDVSA, both by PDVSA Gas Comunal (LPG) and PDVSA Gas (Methane) subsidiaries.
Its mission is to guarantee the supply of LPG as a public service, in addition to the execution of projects that encourage the industrial and economic development of the regions. It is responsible for the transportation, storage, packaging and distribution of LPG from the filling plants to the end user, including within its value chain the manufacture and repair of cylinders, tanks and valves.
Currently, PDVSA Gas Comunal operates 65 LPG filling plants from a total of 91 plants in the national territory and a fleet of 448 cars, 325 tank trucks and 2,539 trucks for the dispensing of cylinders including bulk dispensing, to service 4,694,673 families monthly.
In 2015, 337,432 cylinders were manufactured / repaired, 86,854 valves were repaired and 303 tanks of different capacities were manufactured / repaired for residential, commercial and industrial use.
During the year 2015, the Paramaconi Rivas Rondon LPG filling plant located in Los Teques, Miranda state, was launched, with a storage capacity of 30,000 gallons in its first phase. This LPG filling plant will service 70,000 families.
During the year 2015, we continued the manufacturing of tank trucks for the transportation of LPG, a tank truck of 12,500 gallons was completed. Community Direct Social Production Company (EPSDC):
In 2015, four storage centers were inaugurated by PDVSA Gas Comunal and five distribution routes were launched, in conjunction with organized communities, having to date 99 EPSDC in the national territory, which service 1,008,666 families.
During the year 2015, the National Control and Monitoring Room for LPG located in Guarenas, Miranda State, was set up. In the first phase it will monitor the fleet in real time and then monitor the distribution routes of LPG.
Our process consists of transporting methane gas through pipelines of wide capacity, to the different centers of industrial, domestic and commercial consumption, in a profitable, safe and efficient way, maintaining the integrity of the installations in harmony with the environment. Currently, the direct gas service is reaching more and more Venezuelan families every day through the Great Venezuela Housing Mission, in which new residential centers are conceived with access to piped gas.
It is important to mention that the domestic sector refers to 454,511 users administered by PDVSA GAS, of which 99% is for residential use and 1% for commercial use.
